What you will learn

We will teach our dogs the basics of using agility equipment* such as A-Frame and dog walk as well as jumps.
At the end of the course, all elements will be joint together
in an agility sequence that can just be the start of your dog's agility career.

This course will also teach techniques to better motivate your dog, improve working as a team and your dogs obedience.

Course Outline

The course runs over 5 weeks and will teach your dog a selection of the following:
  • the basics of working agility contact equipment (subject to course location)
  • how to jump over hurdles and through hoops,
  • run through tunnels,
  • hold position on pause boxes, and
  • use fitness equipment to build core strength and confidence in balancing exercises, as well as
  • improving your dogs body awareness through teaching rear end awareness, and
  • maintaining its obedience.

The contact equipment used is a selection of A-frame, contact trainer, seesaw and a dog walk. It is similar to the equipment used in Agility competitions, just a bit smaller and therefore perfectly suited for your puppy, small or medium adult dog.
The fitness equipment used includes wobble boards, paw pods and others.

In this course we work with every dog to its own ability in age, size and breed.
If your dog is under 1 year of age, the growth plates are still developing and we will take it easy and on focus on equipment introduction and building strength and confidence.

This course will also improve the teamwork of you and your dog.
You will learn techniques to better motivate your dog and engage with it for more accuracy and speed in your dogs performance.
