For many people training dogs often stops after puppy school, mostly just because we are poor of time and training becomes more of an obligation than spending a fun time together. But imagine you would stop learning and challenging your mind after primary school?! You get it! The same applies to our dogs...

So what if training would be fun again - for the dog and you? This is what K9Fun is about.

Kerstin & Benji

8Kerstin is a certified dog trainer (National Dog Trainers Federation). Kerstin is truly passionate about her work and has trained dogs professionally since 2012. By attending many seminars in Australia and overseas as well as continuous study, Kerstin keeps up to date with training concepts, methods and science. Her teachers and mentors include Denise Fenzi, Gary Jackson, Glenn Cooke, Esther Schalke, Perdita Luebbe, Cat Saunders, Forrest Micke, Tyler Muto, Josh Moran, Suzanne Clothier.   

Besides training dogs for a living, Kerstin volunteers as trainer and foster carer for Fetching Dogs and trains assistance dogs for Young Diggers an organisations supporting veterans with PTSD. Kerstin has worked overseas for Vets Beyond Borders as a dog trainer to rehabilitate street dogs and as a bite prevention educator. She is proud to have trained the first group of dog trainers for the Government of Sikkim in India.

Kerstin was lucky to find her new 'partner in crime' in one of Sydney's shelters. Benji - a 8 year old male Spitz - is her constant source of entertainment, inspiration and keeps her on her trainer toes. Kerstin and Benji compete in Agility, Noseworks and Trick training. Benji shares his life with his feline siblings Bruce and Sheila who also know a few handy tricks.
